Love — What’s commitment got to do with it?

What do you think? Here are your choices:

  • A. Nothing. Love is purely a matter of the heart.
  • B. Something. Commitment is somewhat important to love, but as long as there is passion, love will thrive.
  • C. Everything. If you want love to last, and your relationship to flourish, you have to be committed to the person you love.

Let us know your answer and WHY you chose it — leave a comment. Let’s get the conversation rolling.

  1. My choice is C. Love without commitment is a lust only. You won’t be able to enjoy love for a long time and deepen your relationships if commitment is not added to it.

  2. Thanks for your comment Ignat. I agree that if one wants to make it to the long-term in love, you must add commitment to passion (rather than some people trading one for the other and missing out on the fire after a few years). :-D
